The International Motor Racing Research Center has hundreds of individual collections, thousands of films, race programs, racing books and magazines and untold thousands of photographs. And each piece – plus fine art, model cars, trophies and other racing memorabilia – has been donated.
As an archival library with the mission to preserve and share the history of motorsports, all series and all venues worldwide, the Center welcomes every addition to the collections.
Not every item offered is the right fit. For that reason, the Center asks that potential donors contact the staff to discuss what might be given. The staff also encourages donors to review the collections lists for motorsports books, race programs, periodicals, videos and DVDs to avoid duplicated gifts.
When the Center does receive duplicate items, the staff asks permission to sell the duplicates to help cover operating costs.
The Center is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization and will provide the proper paperwork acknowledging receipt of donations. However, the staff is not permitted to determine the value of the items donated.
Please contact the Center via email at or by phone at (607) 535-9044 to discuss donations.
